I’m here to work with you in a warm and professional manner. You can expect comprehensive, consumer-driven, evidence-based training, consultation, and organizational support services when working with me. As a seasoned provider, I understand the multi-layered considerations for addressing needs at the organization, provider, and consumer level. I will work with you and your organization to customize services based on your needs and design interactive learning experiences tailored to fit the agency and participants.
I know that this fast-paced, complex, person-centered work requires dependable, timely, clear communication and compassionate support guided by best practices.
I recognize the challenge for organizations to respond to ongoing staffing changes and training needs while systematically addressing burnout and Secondary Traumatic Stress.
I am committed to helping providers develop safety and trust in the therapeutic relationship and am sensitive to the lived experiences of both the provider and consumer. I recognize that culture, family history, historical events, and experiences with systems shape how one views and responds to life events and are an essential part of the therapeutic process.
Services I provide include but are not limited to:

As a trainer, consultant, and supervisor, I have the opportunity to bring trauma-informed, healing-centered training and system change to mental health professionals, administrators, graduate students, child welfare workers, case managers, and support staff who provide care in a range of settings and serve diverse populations.
My role as a National Trainer for Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and co-developer of a graduate-level course on Evidence-Based Mental Health Treatment with Children and Adolescents for the University of Maryland School of Social Work has allowed me to train and coach hundreds of clinicians that are on the frontline today. Additionally, I launched and oversaw the Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress at Kennedy Krieger Institute’s TF-CBT Clinic and coordinated the Group Therapy Clinic for the Center. This gave me direct experience building, supporting, and sustaining clinical teams to utilize best practices in the real world.
As a trainer for the Complex Trauma Training Consortium (CTTC) of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN), the national initiative to increase understanding, assessment, and response to complex trauma, I am working to support providers, educators, parents, and others to meet the needs of youth, families, and communities impacted by trauma and ongoing stressors.
The most meaningful opportunity I have had is providing psychotherapy to families that have experienced complex and ongoing trauma exposure in Baltimore, Maryland, for the past 20 years. I am honored to have witnessed the love, strength, vulnerability, and hard work of so many individuals and families.
